Maria Balazs

Maria Balazs, of Deerbrook Village in North Brunswick, passed away Sunday, February 25, 2024 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.  She was 81. 

Born in Clujnapoca Romania, she came to the United States in 1984. She has been a resident of North Brunswick for the past 40 years.   She worked in the laundry services at St. Peter’s Medical Center in New Brunswick before retiring.

Maria was a wonderful cook.  She enjoyed cooking for the American Hungarian Club.  She was a member of Magyar Reformed Church in New Brunswick.

She’s predeceased by her parents Mihaly and Maria (Filler) Laczi, her brother Mihaly Laczi and her sister Berta Bako.

Surviving is her loving husband Ioan; her sons Janos Balazs (Cristina) of North Brunswick and Bela Balazs of Florida, and her beloved grandson Alex.
