Margaret (Marge) Kovacs, of Edison, passed away Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. She was 92.
Born in Fords, she lived in Edison most of her life. Margaret and her late husband, Stephen, owned the Linwood Grove Bar & Restaurant in Edison. She was a communicant of St. Matthews RC Church in Edison.
She was known for her faith in God, generosity, kindness to humans and animals, and sense of humor. Also, a bit of mischief and adventure rounded out her long life.
She's predeceased by her husband Stephen (1981), parents, Frank & Ethel Heri, and her brother Frank Heri.
Surviving are her daughters Nancy Scheid, and her husband Bob, of Monroe Twp., Margaret (Peggy) Kovacs of Edison, and Linda Barankovich, and her husband Roy, of Kunkletown, PA; 6 grandchildren (Bobby, Brian, Eric & Aimee Scheid, Danny Barankovich & Emily Kary), and 6 great grandchildren (Andie Lynn, Nolan, Brooke, Brielle, Walker & Paige Scheid).
The last 2 years of her life were blessed by the loving care of her many care givers, and friends at Roosevelt Care Center, Old Bridge. She often called them her extended family.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Sunday, August 26th, from 10:00 am – 12 noon at The Crabiel Home for Funerals, 170 N Main St-at Riva Avenue, Milltown. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Margaret's name to the Edison Animal Shelter or Saint Jude's Children's Hospital.
