Manubhai B. Patel, of North Brunswick, passed away Sunday, November 12, 2017 at St. Peter's Hospital in New Brunswick. He was 79.
Born in Verol, Gujarat, India, he came to the United States in 1976. He resided in New York, Connecticut and South Carolina before moving to Edison and North Brunswick.
He was a machinist for Charter Machines in Metuchen, before retiring in 2003. He was a volunteer for BAPS in Edison, helping with their charity work. He also was a member of the North Brunswick Seniors. He enjoyed traveling, food and being social with all that he met. He especially loved being with his grandchildren.
Surviving is his wife Vimalaben Patel; his sons and daughter-in-laws – Manoj and Priti Patel of North Brunswick; Shailesh and Nisthha Patel of North Brunswick; and Alpesh and Nilima Patel of Dayton; his brothers Rameshbhai and Vinodbhai Patel; his sisters Madhukanta, Manjuben and Vidyaben Patel; and his beloved six grandchildren – Radhika, Akshar, Shreena, Shivam, Dillan and Shahil.
Pooja services will be Wednesday, from 9:00 -11:00 am, at Franklin Memorial Park in North Brunswick. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Leukemia Society.
