Mafatbhai N. Patel

Mafatbhai N. Patel, of Freehold/Manalapan NJ, passed away Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune. He was 74.
Born in Rinchol, Gujarat, India, he came to the United States in 1966. He studied at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, MA and received a master's degree in engineering. He lived in Hartford, CT, Queens NY, Bloomfield, NJ, and Old Bridge, NJ before moving to Freehold 37 years ago.
Mafat was a structural engineer for E.I. Associates in Cedar Knolls, NJ for 35 years, before retiring.
He was the beloved husband of 54 years to his wife Sushila.
In addition to his wife; Mafat is survived by his sons Alpesh of Morganville, NJ and Sujal of Seattle, WA; his sister Vimlaben of Cary, NC; his brother Sarabhai of East Brunswick, NJ; and five grandchildren.
He will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father and proud grandfather.
Pooja services will be Friday, from 1:00 – 3:00 pm, at Franklin Memorial Park, Rt. 27 & Cozzens Lane, North Brunswick. Arrangements are by The Crabiel Home for Funerals, 170 N Main St, Milltown. You may send condolences to the family "guestbook" at www.crabiel.com.
