Lothar Jacobsen, of North Brunswick, passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. He was 93.
Born in Bremen Germany, he immigrated with his family to the United States in 1930 at the age of 10 months. He lived in Hoboken and Manhattan before finally settling in North Brunswick.
During World War II he served in the United States Army in Japan for the Army Occupation.
Lothar received his MBA from New York University and his BS form Rutgers University. He worked for Mobil Oil Co. Headquarters in New York for 38 years, before retiring.
He's predeceased by his parents Fritz "Fred" and Sidonie Jacobsen and his brother Henning.
Surviving is his wife of 40 years, Ingeborg (Meier) Jacobsen; his stepdaughter Kerstin Werner and granddaughter Sophie, both of Pullach, Germany; his nieces Kathy Grier, Sandi Geren and Tinker Yeltatzie of Texas.
