Lorraine M. Koppel

Lorraine M. Koppel, formerly of Highland Park, passed away Thursday, March 16, 2023 at The Venetian in South Amboy.  She was 95.  Born in New York City, she lived in Illinois, Ohio and East Brunswick before moving to Highland Park.

Before retiring she was a secretary for the American Cancer Society in Fords.  She loved to travel and was an avid reader.

She’s predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Bernard M. Koppel (d. 1998), her daughter Lynn Withers, her grandson Brian Granite and her brother Jack Barth.

Surviving is her son and daughter-in-law Mark and Bernadine Koppel of  Spotswood, her grandchildren Meaghan and Jacob Koppel and her great granddaughter Bryanna Granite.

Graveside services were held on Friday, March 17^th at Beth Israel Cemetery in Woodbridge.  Funeral arrangements were by The Crabiel Home for Funerals, 170 N Main St-at Riva Avenue, Milltown.  Contributions may be made in Lorraine’s name to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org  You may sign the online condolence “guestbook” at www.crabiel.com
