Lillian M. O'Shea, formerly of North Brunswick, passed away Saturday, November 6, 2021 at her home in Rockport, MA. She was 92.
Born in Harrison, NJ, after her marriage to Patrick, she lived in Old Bridge and North Brunswick. After Patrick passed away in 1982, she moved in with her son Alan and Rae, Katie, Susan and Patrick in Somerset and then Kendall Park. Alan passed away in 2012 and she and Rae moved to Rockport, Massachusetts.
Lillian graduated from Harrison High School and was a secretary for Congoleum-Nairn in Harrison. She raised her eight children and worked as a teacher's aide in the cafeteria at John Adam's School. She later worked for Rutgers University's Daily Targum, retiring in 1994.
She was a parishioner of St. Augustine of Canterbury RC Church in Kendall Park and a member of the Columbiettes.
She's predeceased by her husband Patrick O'Shea (d. 1982), her son Alan O'Shea (d. 2012), her grandchildren Margaret Givens and David O'Shea, her parents Mary Ann and Michael Yankowski, and her siblings Michael, Joseph and Vincent Yankowski, and Mary Miller, Julie Lipkis, Helen Ward and Emily Baron.
Surviving are her daughter-in-law Rae O'Shea of Rockport, MA; her sons Michael O'Shea (Melanie) of San Antonio, TX, Matthew O'Shea (Heidi) of Metamora, IL, and Thomas O'Shea (Anne Marie) of Hillard, OH; her daughters Lois Page (Edward), Patricia Connell (Martin), Eileen Givens, and Ann Marie Cargo (Dennis) all of Orlando, FL; her daughter-in-law Laverne O'Shea of Metamora, IL; her sister Adele Krutulis of Lawrenceville, NJ; 25 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 13th, 10:15 am, at St. Augustine of Canterbury, 45 Henderson Road, Kendall Park. Burial will follow at Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick.
