Lawrence Pohl

November 12, 1955 — April 26, 2024

East Brunswick

Lawrence Pohl, born on November 12, 1955, bid farewell to this world on April 26, 2024. As we mourn the loss of a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, we also celebrate a life well-lived and memories cherished.

One of the fondest memories engraved in the hearts of those who knew Lawrence is the time spent hiking and canoeing in challenging locations such as the Allagash Wilderness Waterway in Maine, the Adirondacks in New York and the Everglades in Florida. Additionally, he spent time maintaining the Diamond Mountain -Tower Trail in Harriman State Park in New York. His adventurous spirit and love for nature were truly remarkable. An avid outdoorsman, he found solace in photography and the tranquility canoeing and being outdoors and enjoyment and moments for teaching others through shooting, specifically competitive matches at Central Jersey Rifle and Pistol Club.

Among his proudest accomplishments was founding the Paddling Bares canoe club, a testament to his passion for adventure and community. However, beyond his hobbies and interests lay a man who truly treasured moments with his cherished family and friends. Lawrence had a warm personality and found joy in simply being surrounded by those he loved.

As we gather to honor Lawrence's life at the Graveside Service on May 1, 2024, 12 noon, at Franklin Memorial Park in North Brunswick, NJ, let us remember the love he shared with his surviving family: his devoted wife Lillian Pohl; daughter Rebecca Lotrowski and son-in-law Eric; grandson Aaron; sister Rita Fouassier; as well as brothers Garry Pohl and Alfrad Pohl also 7 nieces and nephews as well

Lawrence leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and camaraderie. His presence will be deeply missed but his memory will forever linger in our hearts. May he find eternal peace knowing he was cherished by many.
