Lamonte Downey

Lamonte Downey was from a large family of 9 siblings,
he was the 5th child.
At nine years old Lamonte became a resident at
the Woodbridge Development Center.
In 2005 Lamonte became a resident of The Arc Middlesex County, Clauss Street Group Home in Carteret, NJ
where he lived for the past 12 years.
Lamonte also attended the Spectrum for Living Day Program where
he enjoyed being with his peers.

Lamonte's parents were Winifred Downey and Elijah Jones. His siblings were Beverly, Darlene , Pamela, Francine,
Antione, Arthur, Keith, Towanda.
He use to tell his brother Keith to "shake a leg".
Lamonte had over 35 nieces and nephews.

Lamonte loved going to parks, he liked camping
movies and parties, and he loved ice cream!
His favorite hobbies were crafts and coloring.

Lamonte also loved music,
he would shake his tambourine and clap his hands to the music and liked to shake his body to dance.

Lamonte was loved by his family and friends
and will be missed by his house mates
and by the staff of The Arc Middlesex County.

Lamonte you will forever be in our hearts.
