Kusum J. Patel, of Morris Plains, passed away Thursday, July 5, 2018 at home. She was 76.
Born in Dharmaj, Gujarat, India, she came to the United States during the 1970's. She resided in Bayside, NY, and Queens, before moving recently to Morris Plains.
Kusum owned stationary stores in NYC, before retiring. She loved in cook and travel. She and her husband Jayant, were Mahatmas, followers of Dada Bhagwan.
A loving mother and grandmother, Kusum is survived by her beloved husband Jayant Patel; her sons and daughter-in-laws, Amit and Sonol Patel of Morris Plains, and Ashish and Marisa Patel of Jersey City; her daughters and son-in-laws, Amrita and Hiren Patel of Longmont, Colorado, and Anu and Sanjay Patel of Monroe Twp.; her brother Rasik Patel of Brooklyn and her sister Savita Patel of Oceanside, NY.
Pooja services will be Saturday, July 7th, from 9:00 – 11:00 am at Holy Cross Crematory, Cranbury Rd., East Brunswick (Jamesburg). Funeral arrangements are by The Crabiel Home for Funerals, 170 N Main St-at Riva Avenue, Milltown. You may sign the condolence "guestbook" for the family at www.crabiel.com
