Kathe E. Betz, of Highland Park, passed away with her daughter by her side, on Saturday, May 25, 2024. She was 89. Born in Honstein Germany, and orphaned at 15, she came to the United States in 1953, cleaning houses in Milwaukie. She met her husband Heinz at a dance and they moved to Highland Park 63 years ago.
She worked for Revlon in Edison for 19 years. She was a parishioner of the Reformed Church of Highland Park. She was a member of the German Club in New Brunswick and the Highland Park Seniors.
Kathe loved cooking German food and flowers. She learned English by watching As the World Turns. She enjoyed the beach and going to Wildwood.
She will now be joining her loved ones in heaven; her husband Heinz Betz (d. 1980), her daughter Barbara Betz (d. Dec, 2023), her son Ronald Betz (d. April, 2024) and her son-in-law Victor Feliciano (d. 2020).
Surviving is her loving daughter Carol Feliciano of Edison, her son Robert Betz (Lisa) of Old Bridge; her grandchildren Kayla and Courtney Betz; and Ronald’s extended family Edward, Jeannine, Charity and Jennifer and their children.
A Visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, May 31st, from 10:00 am – 11:30 am at the Reformed Church of Highland Park, 19 So. 2nd Ave, Highland Park. A Funeral Service will follow at 11:30 am at the church. Burial will follow at Franklin Memorial Park in North Brunswick. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Reformed Church of Highland Park.
