Karl N. Murvay, of Milltown, passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at home. He was 61. Born and raised in New Brunswick, he lived in North Brunswick before moving to Milltown 17 years ago.
Karl was a retired police officer with the New Brunswick Police Department. He currently worked for the East Brunswick Board of Education as a security officer at Churchill School. He was a team leader and firearms instructor for the Middlesex County S.O.R.T. Team and the New Brunswick Police Department. He was very proud and honored to serve in the police department. It was his life long dream.
He enjoyed hiking, biking, camping, and vacationing in Wildwood and Virginia. He enjoyed collecting police memorabilia, watching John Wayne movies, and Adam-12.
He’s predeceased by his parents Victor and Martha (Laday) Murvay, his brother Eric Murvay and his father-in-law Neil Brown.
Surviving is his loving wife Pamela Brown-Murvay, his children Lauren and Nicholas at home, his sister Regina Murvay of Levittown PA, his niece Amanda Schopf of Italy, and his mother-in-law Dorothy Brown of Milltown.
Friends and relatives may call on Saturday, April 8th, from 12:00 pm – 3:00 p.m. at The Crabiel Home for Funerals, 170 N Main St.-at Riva Avenue, Milltown. Cremation will be private.
