Joy Mayer, of East Brunswick, passed away on Monday, November 21, 2022 surrounded by her family. She was 86. Born and raised in New York City, she moved to East Brunswick 54 years ago.
Joy was an interior designer. She also was secretary for the East Brunswick Board of Education, retiring in 1992.
She was a member of the East Brunswick Jewish Center. Joy was a prolific painter and a volunteer at a local animal shelter.
She's predeceased by her husband Irwin Mayer (d. 1989).
Surviving are her daughters and son-in-laws, Jessica Mayer and Michael Baker of East Brunswick and Susan Mayer and Seth Berlin of Chevy Chase, MD; her brother Steven Rubin of Florida; and her grandchildren Jordan Baker, Ruby Berlin and Ian Berlin
Graveside services were private at Washington Cemetery in South Brunswick. Arrangements were by The Crabiel Home for Funerals, 170 N Main St.-at Riva Avenue, Milltown.
