Josephine L. Howlin, of North Brunswick, passed away Saturday, October 10, 2020 at home at the age of 57. She was born in Plainfield and lived in New Brunswick before moving to North Brunswick where she lived for over 15 years.
Josephine worked for Webcraft in North Brunswick before devoting her time to raising her family. She was the owner and manager of Patrick's Pub located in New Brunswick. She was a loving woman who brought joy to everyone she touched. Josephine had a big heart and devoted much of her time taking care of the elderly. She also had a great love for animals which included not only their dog Maggie and cat Tiger but also stray cats, squirrels and ducks which she was sure to feed every day. Josephine enjoyed spending time in their RV with her husband and children at the Jersey shore and wherever life took them. She was a parishioner of St. Augustine of Canterbury RC Church in Kendall Park. She will be greatly missed by her beloved family and friends.
Josephine was predeceased by her parents Joe Turi and Joan Parkhurst. She was also predeceased by her sister Toni La Stella.
Surviving is her husband Michael F. Howlin, son Michael Howlin, Jr. and daughter Nicole Howlin both from North Brunswick; three sisters Evelyn Vanfleet and husband Jeff of East Amwell, Patty Barbarotta and husband John of Whiting and Linda Neglia and husband Steve of Manchester.
Services will begin on Thursday at 9:30 AM at The Crabiel Home for Funerals, 170 N Main St.-at Riva Avenue, Milltown followed by an 11:30 AM funeral mass at St Augustine of Canterbury RC Church in Kendall Park. You may sign the online condolence "guestbook" for the family at www.crabiel.com
