Josephine "Pat" Gillespie a resident of Cranbury, NJ, passed away on April 16, 2017 at The Elms of Cranbury. Pat was born November 18, 1934 and was 82 years young. Born and raised in Perth Amboy, she lived in North Brunswick before moving to The Elms where she fully enjoyed her last years.
Pat worked for the Perth Amboy Board of Education which allowed her to always keep a "watchful" eye on her daughter Kimberley, before retiring in 1995. She was an avid reader and enjoyed keeping up with all the scandals that were reported by the National Enquirer. She had a true love of life and enjoyed nothing more than spending time with family and friends laughing and telling stories of the past. Her final years were spent causing all sorts of trouble at The Elms were she was cared for and loved greatly by all.
Affectionately known as "Momushka" by all her many "daughters", she always had a smile, a kiss and a hug to generously give out. Pat was the Matriarch of many loving friends and family and managed to have people tell her their "secrets" that she keeps safe to this day. She was the Polish Queen and reigned over the annual Pierogi Fest making sure that traditions carried on from generation to generation. She was a loving adorning mother, mother-in-law and beloved and best "GaGa" to Liam.
Pat was predeceased by her husband David Gillespie (d. 2010). Surviving is her daughter Kimberley Gillespie, daughter-in-law Elizabeth Tomasulo; her grandson Liam Tomasulo Gillespie; and many nephews, nieces, great nieces and great nephews
