John C. Stadelman, of Milltown, passed away Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026, at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in Hamilton. He was 82 years old.
Born in New Brunswick, he was raised on his parents' farm, Stadelman Farms on Beekman Rd. in South Brunswick. He has lived in Milltown for the past 50 years.
John served in the United States Army Reserve during the Vietnam War era. Before retiring, he worked for Bristol-Myers Squibb in New Brunswick, for 42 years. He was a lifelong member of the Milltown Rescue Squad. John was known around town for driving his late son Johnny’s orange Harley truck.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife Leila (Maroun) Stadelman (d. 2002), his son John Stadelman (d. 2009), and his parents John and Anna (Meienberg) Stadelman.
Surviving are his son Joseph Stadelman of Milltown, his brother Frank Stadelman of Kendall Park, his grandchildren Leila and Ethan Stadelman, and his wife Leila’s beloved family, the Maroun’s.
A Visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday, April7th, from 5:00 – 8:00 pm, at The Crabiel Home for Funerals, 170 N Main St.-at Riva Avenue, Milltown. A Funeral Mass of the Resurrection will be on Wednesday, 10:00 am, at St. Sharbel Maronite Catholic Church in Somerset. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Piscataway.
