Joan A Zukowski

Joan A. Zukowski, formerly of Milltown, passed away Monday, October 26, 2026 at Bayshore Hospital in Holmdel. She was 70 years old.

Born in Perth Amboy, she was raised in Milltown, and attended Our Lady of Lourdes School. She was a 1974 graduate of New Brunswick High School. She recently had lived in South Jersey before moving to Spotswood a few years ago. Before retiring, she worked for Social Security office in Trenton, and the Veterans Administration.

Joan had a heart of gold, taking care of neighbors and family. She was a volunteer with the ARC of Somerset County and various veterans organizations. She enjoyed cooking, decorating and playing Bingo. She loved her westie Frosty.

She is predeceased by her parents Anthony and Mary (Hreha) Zukowski, her sister Catherine and brother Anthony Jr.

Joan is survived by her twin sister Jo Anne Sisko of South River, her brother Frank Zukowski (Cheryl) of Cape Coral FL, her sisters Donna Zukowski of Hoboken and Kathryn Gaffney (Bill) of Clinton; her nieces Mary Sisko and Mary Gaffney, nephew Dennis Sisko and a great niece and nephew.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 30th, 10:30 am, at Our Lady of Lourdes RC Church in Milltown. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Piscataway. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project. Arrangements are by The Crabiel Home for Funerals, 170 N Main St.-at Riva Avenue, Milltown.
