Jean E. Henry, of Milltown, passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2026 at St. Peter’s Hospital in New Brunswick, surrounded by her loving family. She was 83 years old. Born and raised in New Brunswick, she lived in Milltown for most of her life.

Jean was a longtime realtor with Weichert Realty in East Brunswick for over 45 years. She enjoyed showing houses to her clients and was known for her O’Henry candy bars at her open houses.

She was active with the VFW Clark Moetz Post 2319 in Milltown. She enjoyed attending services at the United Methodist Churches in both New Brunswick and Milltown. She loved to travel, whether it was summers at Lake Winnipesaukee, cruising or weekend trips to Lancaster. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening and cooking, and you could almost always find her with a glass of Chardonnay in hand.

Jean’s family meant the world to her. Trips with her cousins, card games with her children and grandchildren and impromptu family dinners were some of her favorite memories. She treated everyone as if they were family and had such a wonderful community of people within her neighborhood. Jean always had an open door policy.

She was predeceased by her husband Ray Henry (d. 1997), her son David R. Henry (d. 2013), her parents Clarence and Eleanor (Soehler) Henderson, her brother Ronald Henderson and her cousin Marilyn Lovelace.

Surviving are her daughter, Laura Banko of Milltown; her grandchildren, Madison Breden and husband Stephen of Lacey Twp., Jack Henry of North Brunswick, Victoria Banko and her boyfriend, Walid, and Timothy Banko, all of Milltown; her daughter-in-law Shari Henry of North Brunswick; her sister-in-law Kathleen Henderson of Freehold; her nephew Jeffrey Henderson and wife Julia, and their son, Colin, of Howell; and her dear cousins Nancy and Don Watlington and Jimmy Lovelace.
