Jashodaben Chinubhai Thakker, of India, passed away while visiting her son in Piscataway. She was 83. Born and raised in Ahmedaben, India, she lived there her entire life.
Eventhough Jashodaben received an education up to only 5th grade, she encouraged her family to further their studies. Because of her influence, the Thakker family has among them doctors, principals and engineers.
She enjoyed cooking and making her home neat and welcoming to all. She was very spiritual, always praying, fasting and singing. She never tired and was always helping her family.
She’s predeceased by her parents Shankarlal and Ichchhaben Thakker, and her brothers Jayantibhai, Jivanbhai and Shantibhai, and sisters Laxmiben an Savitaben.
Surviving is her beloved husband, Chinubhai Thakker; her son Dr. Gaurangbhai Thakker (Dr. Viral Thakker) of Piscataway; her daughters Gira (Sumita) Thakkar of Colonia, and Punita (Chirarkumar) Thakker of Ahmedabad, India; her sisters Ramilaben, Madhuben, Durgaben and Minaben all of India; her grandchildren Chitresh, Manali, Vivek, Kishan, Yash and Kavira; and her great grandchildren Aadhya, Samarth, Morvi and Shivansh.
Pooja services will be held on Wednesday, September 13th, from 1:00 – 3:00 pm at Franklin Memorial Park, Rt. 27 & Cozzens Lane, North Brunswick.
