James A. English, formerly of Hoboken, NJ, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 8, 2018 at his home in North Brunswick surrounded by his beloved family. He was 79. Born and raised in Hoboken, he lived there most of his life before moving to North Brunswick in 2012.
He worked for American Can and Groov-Pin. After retiring, he enjoyed spending his days at United Decorating on Washington Street in Hoboken.
Jim was a devoted Yankee fan. He was an avid collector of Postcards and Hoboken memorabilia. Jim was also very proud of his Irish heritage.
He is predeceased by his brother Thomas and his sister Kathleen.
Surviving is his sister Mary Haugh of Little Ferry, formerly of Weehawken, as well as his nieces and nephews, Patrick & Lisa Haugh, Catherine & Michael McGowan, Kevin & Bethany Haugh, MaryPat & Jon Sabato, and Anthony Haugh.
Uncle Jim will be dearly missed by his adored great nieces & nephews, Emily, Matthew, Patrick, Sam, Sean, Isabella Rose and his adoptive grandson Randy Olivier.
