Jack Weg, of Freehold, passed away Sunday, January 21, 2018 at Brookside Assistant Living. He was 94.
Born in Mayah Sha' Arim, Palestine, he came to the United States in 1929. He resided in the Lower Eastside of Manhattan, Brookyn, the Bronx and Queens, before moving to the Ft. Lauderdale area of Florida. He has lived in Freehold for the past 7 years.
Jack served in the Navy during WWII. After the war, he was an office manager for Jerry Elsner Toy Co. in NY for 30 years, before retiring.
Surviving is his wife of 65 years, Sylvia (Mauskopf) Weg; his son Allen Weg of East Brunswick; his daughters Marilyn Starr of South Windsor, CT and Rosalyn Goldman of East Hanover; his brother Aaron Weg of Israel; his sister Minnie Mechanic of Florida; and 6 grandchildren.
Services were held Monday, January 22nd at The Crabiel Home for Funerals, 170 N Main St.-at Riva Avenue in Milltown. Burial followed at Beth Israel Cemetery in Woodbridge.
