Ingrid McClatchey, of North Brunswick, passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at PowerBack in Piscataway. She was 78.
Born in the Bronx, NY, she lived in Brooklyn and Chestertown, NY before moving to North Brunswick 4 years ago.
Ingrid was very proud of her Norwegian heritage and enjoyed reading on her kindle, knitting and crocheting, especially making caps for chemo patients. She loved listening to music, doing puzzles and playing Yahtzee. An animal lover, she was a member of the Friends of Animals. She always looked forward to the Parker House day care program. While living in upstate New York, she was an active member of SonRise Lutheran Church.
She's predeceased by her husband Donald F. McClatchey (d. 2014) and her daughter Lorraine Sweeney (d. 2005).
Surviving is Ingrid's daughter and son-in-law, Eileen and Albert Orokos, Jr. of North Brunswick; her son-in-law Luke Sweeney of Miller Place, Long Island; her sister Vivian Moulder of Jackson Hole, WY; and her six grandchildren, Christina, Meghan and Kevin Sweeney, and Michael, Robert and Caroline Orokos.
Services will be Saturday, June 9th, 10:00 am, at Nativity Lutheran Church, 552 Ryders Lane, East Brunswick. Friends and relatives may call on Friday, from 1:00 – 3:00 pm and 5:00 – 8:00 pm, at The Crabiel Home for Funerals, 170 N Main St.-at Riva Avenue, Milltown.
