Helen E. Riva, formerly of Milltown, passed away Monday, March 15, 2021 at St. Peter's Hospital in New Brunswick. She was 94.
Born in Weehawken, she lived in Milltown for over 65 years before moving recently to Franklin Township.
Helen was a lunch aid for Milltown Public Schools for many years. She was a parishioner of Nativity Lutheran Church in East Brunswick, and former President of the American Legion Post 25 Ladies Auxiliary and member of the Milltown Senior Citizens Club.
Helen liked dancing, cooking, reading and painting. She enjoyed playing Bingo and volleyball, watching the Giants, and traveling to Wildwood and Atlantic City. Most of all she loved being with her family, especially at Christmas.
She's predeceased by her husband Charles E. Riva (d. 2012).
Surviving is her son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Audray Riva of Piscataway; her daughters and son-in-law's, Linda and Ron Hastings of East Berlin, PA, and Kim and Joe Badolato of Milltown; her grandchildren Bonnie Wickard, Pamela Lowry and Alyssa Riva; 4 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Friends and relatives may call on Thursday, March18th, from 5:00 – 8:00 pm, at The Crabiel Home for Funerals, 170 N Main St.-at Riva Avenue, Milltown.
