Helen Elizabeth Mann Geiger, of Toms River, passed away Saturday, April 1, 2017, at Care One in East Brunswick. She was 96.
Born in Hawthorne NJ, Helen and her brother George grew up in a Masonic Children's Home in Burlington. She resided in Newark, Rutherford and Hasbrouck Heights before moving to Toms River 30 years ago.
She worked in human resources for Bendix in Teterboro, before retiring in 1985. She was a great reader and enjoyed writing poetry and travelling.
Helen is predeceased by her mother Belle Acton Mann (d. 1989), her husband Harry Nathan Geiger (d. 1992); her son Gregg David Geiger (d. 2007) and her brother George Clarence Mann, who died in France during WWII.
Surviving is her daughter and son-in-law Barbara and Ronald Parker of East Brunswick; her grandchildren Christopher Parker and Ashely, Brittany and Emily Geiger; her great granddaughter Poppy Valentine Parker, and her niece and nephew, Marilyn and Richard Citron.
