Helen E. Bannier-Duszynski, formerly of Milltown, passed away Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Brandywine Assistant Living in Toms River, She was 100.
Born and raised in Milltown, she lived in Los Angeles, East Brunswick and North Brunswick, before moving to Toms River three years ago.
Helen was a telephone operator for NJ Bell, a receptionist for Bristol Myer Squibb, and a dispatcher for Hermann Trucking in North Brunswick. She retired in 1978 as a bus driver for North Brunswick Township.
"Nana Bean", as she was affectionately known by her family, was a parishioner of St. Paul's Church in Milltown and a member of the Eastern Star Raritan Chapter of Highland Park. She loved dancing.
Helen is predeceased by her first husband Joseph O. Bannier (d. 1964), her second husband Daniel Duszynski (d. 2017), her grandson Harold Paton (d. 2004) and her step-daughter Andrea Dodd (d. 2019).
Surviving is her daughter Carol Lee Bannier of Toms River, and her son Scott Bannier of Milltown; her grandchildren Jacqueline Kruzik of Aberdeen, Barbara Judge of Toms River, Christine Dodd of Hoboken, Danielle Dodd of Orlando, FL, and Richard Dodd of Edison; and 11 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be Wednesday, September 1st, 1:00 pm at The Crabiel Home for Funerals, 170 N Main St.-at Riva Avenue, Milltown. Burial will follow at Van Liew Cemetery, North Brunswick. Friends and relatives may call on Wednesday starting at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Paul's Church, 62 So. Main St., Milltown, NJ 08850.
