Hasmukhbhai S. Patel, of Piscataway, passed away Monday, October 15, 2018 at AristaCare at Cedar Oaks in South Plainfield. He was 81.
Born in Shihol, Gujarat, India, he came to the United States in 1996 and resided in Piscataway. While in India, Mr. Patel was a farmer and an expert in agriculture. He received his PHD in Agriculture from the University of Navsari and was also a guest lecturer at the university.
Mr. Patel enjoyed gardening and was an aid for the Rutgers University Urban Gardeners in Newark.
Surviving is his wife of 63 years, Vimalaben Patel; his sons Shirin and Sanjay Patel, both of Piscataway; his daughter Ketu Patel of Belrose, NY; and his grandchildren Kishan, Malvi, Roma, Shiv and Krisha.
Pooja services will be held on Wednesday, October 17th, from 1:00 – 3:00 pm at Franklin Memorial Park in North Brunswick.
