Harvey A. Braverman

Harvey A. Braverman, of Monroe Township, passed away Monday, October 12, 2020 at the Jewish Home in Freehold. He was 79.

Born in Brooklyn, he lived in Piscataway most of his life. He lived in North Brunswick before moving to Monroe eleven years ago.

Harvey was a Professor of Math for both Rutgers University and Middlesex County College. He earned a PHD in Mathematics from CUNY. He received his bachelor's and master's degree from Brooklyn College.

He loved cooking and baking. He enjoyed playing poker with a group of friends. For many years Harvey cooked and served Shabbat dinners and Passover Seders to the congregation at Temple Shalom, formerly in Plainfield, NJ.

He's predeceased by his parents Max and Evelyn (Goldhor) Braverman.

Surviving are his daughters Marissa Mink of Commerce City, CO and Robin Antonelli of Brick Twp., his partner for over 20 years, Carole Forte of Monroe Twp., his sister Arline Kaufman of Florida, his brother Sidney Braverman of Texas and his four grandchildren Breanna, Renee, Megan and Ethan.

Services will be held on Friday, October 16th, 11:00 am at The Crabiel Home for Funerals, 170 N Main St.-at Riva Avenue, Milltown. Burial will follow at Beth David Cemetery in Elmont, NY. Contributions may be made to a charity of your choice. You may sign the obituary condolence "guestbook" at www.crabiel.com
