Harbhajan Kaur Goomer passed away peacefully on May 10, 2020. She was 90 years old.
She was born on June 14, 1929 in the town of Naushera in Punjab, Pakistan. She married Devinder Singh Goomer in 1951 and was married for 68 loving years. She was a Montessori teacher in Jabalpur, India before emigrating to England in 1960 with her husband and two sons.
Harbhajan Kaur played an instrumental role in founding the family business in London. In May 1980, she moved to Long Island with Devinder Singh. She loved being around people and celebrating life with her beloved community.
Harbhajan Kaur and her husband were active and devoted members of sangat at the Glen Cove and Sikh Sabha Gurdwaras. She lived a full life and will be missed dearly by those that knew and loved her.
