Harald A. Bisgaard, II

November 15, 1929 — May 17, 2021

Harald A. Bisgaard II, of North Plainfield, passed away Monday, May 17, 2021 at home. He was 91.


Born in Plainfield, he grew up in North Plainfield, before moving to Edison 60 years ago and moved back to North Plainfield 35 years ago.


Harald was a civil engineer and had his own surveying business. He was a member of St. Stephen's Lutheran Church in Edison. He belonged to the Danish brotherhood.


Harald enjoyed every year seeing the beautiful hot air balloons. Harald also liked going to Patriot baseball games with his family. Harald also always enjoyed watching the boats and listening to Concerts By The Bay on the Perth Amboy waterfront. He enjoyed making and flying model airplanes.


He's predeceased by his parents Harald and Jane (Thorbol) Bisgaard, his wife Lillian (Jaxel) Bisgaard (d. Aug 2015) and his son Harald A. Bisgaard III (d. Jan 2021).


Surviving is his daughter and son-in-law, Kristine and Richard Crosby of Edison; his son and daughter-in-law Kenny and Tracy Bisgaard of South Plainfield; and his grandchildren Andrew and Hallie Bisgaard.


A private funeral service will be held on Friday, May 21st, at The Crabiel Home for Funerals, 170 N Main St-at Riva Avenue, Milltown. Private burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Scotch Plains. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association. You may sign the online condolence "guestbook" at www.crabiel.com
