Gudelia Asencios, of East Brunswick, passed away Saturday, January 2, 2021 at home. She was 93.
Born in Lima, Peru, she came to the United States in 1959. She lived in New York before moving to East Brunswick a year ago.
Gudelia worked as a chambermaid for some of the most important families in New York. She was a devoted Catholic, who cared for her family as well as her fellow man.
Surviving are her sons Jesus Ortiz of East Brunswick, her sister Julia Salustia Asencios, and her nephews Omar and Anibal Ortiz.
A Mass will be held on Monday, 10:30 am, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel RC Church in New Brunswick. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Burial Park in East Brunswick.
