Gopal D. Kapoor

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Gopal Das Kapoor, who left us on Monday, October 21st, 2024 after a courageous battle with cancer. Gopal Das Kapoor passed away surrounded by the love and support of his cherished family. 

He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather amongst the many other loving roles he fulfilled. His life was defined by his resilience and tenacity for life. He was a fighter in every sense, facing his illness with grace and strength, never losing his sense of humor or enduring hope. 

Throughout his life, he found joy in the simple moments - whether it was spending time with his family, morning walks or gol gappas. His legacy is one of perseverance, love and generosity which touched all who had the privilege of knowing him. 

Gopal Das Kapoor is survived by his loving wife, Swarn Kanta Kapoor, his children Dimple and Rajeev, son-in-law Brij and daughter-in-law Alka and his grandchildren Abhinav, Akhil and Akanksha who were his greatest pride. He leaves behind a family who will forever honor his memory and carry on the lessons of courage and compassion he instilled in them. 

The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the doctors, nurses and caregivers who provided exceptional care and comfort during his illness. Though his loss is immeasurable, the love and support of his family and loved ones who have been a source of strength during this difficult time. 

 A celebration of Gopal Das Kapoor’s life will be held on October 22, 2024, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Franklin Memorial Park. Friends and family are invited to gather and remember the incredible man he was. Gopal Das Kapoor will be profoundly missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
