Georges Naim Nammour, 71, of North Brunswick, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, August 6th, 2020 surrounded by his loving family after a protracted battle with cancer.
George was born in Bourj Hammoud, Lebanon on September 8, 1948. son of the late Naim and Aziza Nammour but raised in Bkassine. After his studies he held positions at Beirut International Airport and worked in Saudi Arabia before moving back to Lebanon and getting married in 1980. He began a career at the United States Embassy but lasted a couple of years due to the bombing which prompted him to move to the United States.
He came to the United States in the late 1980's and resided in New Brunswick before moving to North Brunswick. He worked as a taxi driver until he retired in 2018. He was a parishioner of St. Sharbel Maronite Catholic Church in Somerset.
He was a kind, generous and humble man who meant so much to so many. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife Chadia (Baroud) Nammour; son Nader Nammour of North Brunswick; son and daughter-in-law Naim and Janette Nammour of Albany, NY; grandsons George and Alexander Nammour; and his sister Georgette of Lebanon.
Friends and relatives may call on Friday, from 4:00pm-8:00pm at The Crabiel Home for Funerals, 170 N Main St.-at Riva Avenue, Milltown. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, 10:30am, at St. Sharbel Maronite Catholica Church, Somerset. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Piscataway.
