Evelyn A. Bayman

Evelyn A. Bayman, of Milltown, passed away Sunday, January 21, 2024 at St. Peter’s Hospital in New Brunswick.  She was 88.  Born in Newark, she lived in Irvington and South Plainfield before moving to Milltown 16 years ago.

Evelyn enjoyed crocheting and playing the penny slots at Atlantic City.  She was an avid bingo player and loved being the “neighborhood watch lady”. Later on in her life, she enjoyed quality time with her family. She also enjoyed finding her artistic side while painting and coloring with her great grandchildren.

She’s predeceased by her husband Donald Bayman (d. 2007), her mother Amelia Bilensky (d. 2009) and her son-in-law John Solar (d. 2010).

Surviving are her loving daughters Denise Solar of South River, Karen Bayman of Edison and Doreen Zukowski of North Brunswick; her beloved grandchildren Jennie Cardone, Michael Solar, Charlie Clark, Laurissa Solar, Marie Solar and Zackary Zukowski; and her great grandchildren Amelia Solar, Giavanna Cardone and Gabriel Solar.

Friends and relatives may call on Wednesday, January 24^th from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at The Crabiel Home for Funerals, 170 N Main St.-at Riva Avenue, Milltown.  Burial will be on Thursday, January 25th at 11:00 am at Brig General William C Doyle Veterans Memorial Park in Wrightstown.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundations, www.kidney.org .  You may sign the online condolence “guestbook” at www.crabiel.com .
