Eric C. Arauz, of East Brunswick, passed away Sunday, March 25, 2018. He was 47. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, he has lived in East Brunswick for the past 46 years.
He was a US Navy Veteran of Desert Storm. He received his Master's Degree in Labor Relations from Rutgers University.
Eric was the President of the Trauma Institute of New Jersey, where he was a motivational and inspirational speaker. He was the author of 'An American's Resurrection' which has been used as a training tool across the country.
He is predeceased by his step-father George Powers (d. 2000).
Surviving are his wife Cheryl (Reimer) Arauz and their daughter Olivia; his mother Nadine (Miller) Powers of East Brunswick; his sisters – Cecelia Butta and her husband Mark of Woodbridge, and Gabrielle Arauz of NYC; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Charles and Barbara Reimer of Tinton Falls; his sisters-in-law Beth Reichgott and her husband Jay of Pomona, NY, and Becky Reimer and her husband Erik Matteo of Washington; and his nephews and niece, Joseph and Peter Butta, Lawrence Reimer, Solomon Reichgott, and Samara and Jacoby Matteo.
Friends and relatives may call on Saturday, March 31st, starting at 12:00 noon with a Memorial Service being held from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at The Crabiel Home for Funerals, 170 N Main St-at Riva Avenue, Milltown.
