Eileen L. Deforest

    Eileen L. DeForest, of West Caldwell, passed away Saturday, January 11, 2025 at Care One in Parsippany. She was 78 years old. Born in Point Pleasant, she lived in West Caldwell most of her life

    Eileen graduated from Jersey City College and was a nurse her whole career. She retired in 2020, after 40 years as a nurse for Dr. Alan Bahler in Livingston. She liked to spend time with her friends and family as well as reading and gardening.

    She’s predeceased by her parents Henry and Clara (Dietz) DeForest, her brothers Robert DeForest and George English, and her sisters Deborah DeForest and Rosemary Connell.

    Surviving are her brothers Richard DeForest of Little River SC, Hank DeForest (Geraldine) of Moneto VA, and James English of Ocean Twp., and several nieces and nephews.

    Graveside services will be on Friday, January 24th, 11:00 am, at St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery, 1 Honey Locust Drive, Lakewood. Arrangements are by The Crabiel Home for Funerals, 170 N Main St.-at Riva Avenue, Milltown. You may sign the online condolence “guestbook” at www.crabiel.com
