Eileen Ann (McDonald) Bicsko, of Milltown, passed away Friday, June 19, 2026 at RWJ/Barnabas Hospital in New Brunswick. She was 82 years old. Born in New Brunswick, she was a 1961 graduate from St. Peter’s High School. Raised in Highland Park, she briefly lived in Somerset before moving to Milltown 54 years ago.
She began her career working in the administrative department at Goodyear Tire, eventually leaving the workforce to raise her family. After several years, she returned to school and became a licensed hairstylist and cosmetologist, working at Sellari’s Hair Salon and Recreations in North Brunswick. She concluded her career in 2009 with University Radiology in East Brunswick, serving as office manager and executive assistant to the president.
Eileen was a devoted parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes in Milltown, where her faith and commitment to her community were evident throughout her life. She generously served her neighbors and hometown in many capacities, including the Milltown PTA, the Milltown Juvenile Justice Commission, Friends of the Milltown Library, Milltown Day, and the Milltown Revitalization Committee.
Eileen cherished traveling with her husband throughout the world, enjoying trips to the Jersey Shore with her girlfriends, and, above all, spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her warmth, dedication, and love of family and community leave a lasting legacy that will be remembered by all who knew her.
She is predeceased by her parents John and Catherine (Gallagher) McDonald, her brothers John (Joan) and Joseph, and sisters Catherine McDonald and Marilyn Cronin (Frank).
Surviving is her husband of 58 years, John F. Bicsko Jr.; her sons John “Jack” Bicsko III (Dana) of Milltown and Jeffrey Bicsko (Rachael) of Milltown, her daughter Maureen Carter (Kevin) of Wall Twp.; her grandchildren Meaghan and John “Jack” Bicsko, and Mikayla and Andrew Carter; her sisters-in-law Margaret "Marge" McDonald and Carol Clarke (Bill); and many nieces and nephews.
A Visitation for friends and family will be held on Wednesday, June 24th, from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at The Crabiel Home for Funerals, 170 N Main St-at Riva Avenue, Milltown. A Funeral Mass will on Thursday, 10:00am at Our Lady of Lourdes RC Church, North Main St, Milltown. Entombment will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
