Edward Little of Irvington, NJ, passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2020 at the age of 82. He attended Dunbar High School, in Baltimore, Maryland. He then moved to Brooklyn, NY and lived there for many years. He met his late wife Thelma Little and they moved to Irvington, NJ where he resided for over 30 years as a widower.
Edward Little worked for DureX Inc., a Union-based metal fabrication and stamping company, as a Machine Set-up Man, where he met his long-time Lady Friend Rose Ellis. Edward Little worked for a Jewish Synagogue in Forest Hills Queens as a live-in custodian, was a crafty carpenter and held an official title in the Township of Irvington, New Jersey as a District Leader in E8 alongside the Late Lenel Jackson under the leadership of the Late D. Essex County Freeholder. Mr. Little was also, a Deacon at Beulah Baptist Church in Newark New Jersey.
He was a God-fearing man that loved to read the Bible. He loved to dance and tell jokes, enjoyed spending quality time with his family, especially his Nieces, Nephews, and Grandchildren. He was a long-time tenant of Edward and Edna Mack of Irvington and bonded like family. The Mack Family referred to him Doc Little.
He's predeceased by his parents Henry Little and Marie Milton, and siblings. Brothers: Willie Little, James Little (aka Bunny), Henry Little (aka Sunny), Leroy Little
Sisters: Nellie Little, Dolores Summers (aka Penny).
Surviving are his four daughters: Trimaine Sabree of NYC, Shavonne Little of Baltimore, MD, Desiree Sabree of Newark, NJ and Darlene Reeves of Irvington, NJ; his Sister Clarice Tillman of Brooklyn; 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
