Edward J. Gresh, Jr., of North Brunswick, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 with his wife by his side. He was 80 years old. Born in New Brunswick, he lived in North Brunswick most of his life.
He was a sheet metal journeyman with Local 27 before retiring in 2007. A devoted parishioner of Our Lady of Peace RC Church in North Brunswick, he was involved with raising funds and in the building of the Church. He served as a eucharistic minister for many years.
Ed served 6 years in the Army Reserves in a tank. Fondly known as Buddy to his longtime friends, he was an avid hunter and won many awards for archery and long range shooting, and trophies for his extensive Classic car collections. Ed was a lifetime member of the NRA, Judical Watch and several organizations in pursuit of freedom and justice. Most of all, he loved spending time with his 9 grandchildren.
He is predeceased by his parents, Edward J. Gresh Sr. and Ann (Biscko) Gresh.
Surviving is his wife of 43 years, Eva (Seglins) Gresh; his son Blake Gresh (Crystal) of Hightstown and his daughter Samantha Sickles (Nicholas) of North Brunswick; his sisters Joan Harris and Donna Inzano, both of North Brunswick; his beloved grandchildren Emily Gresh, Luke and Ryan Sickles, Blake Jr., Christopher, Cayden, Mason, Brooks and Tyler Gresh, and many nieces and nephews.
A Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, May 12th, from 4:00 - 7:00 pm at Our Lady of Peace RC Church, 1730 Rt. 130, North Brunswick. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, 10:00 am at Our Lady of Peace. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Burial Park in East Brunswick. Arrangements are by The Crabiel Home for Funerals, 170 N Main St.-at Riva Avenue, Milltown. You may sign the online condolence “guestbook” at www.crabiel.com In lieu of flowers, contributons may be made to Our Lady of Peace Church.
