Dhanji Chandra

Dhanji Chandra, of Piscataway, passed away Saturday, October 28, 2023 at home.  He was 78. Born in Bombay, India, he came to the United States in 1970.  He lived in New York and Philadelphia before moving to Piscataway 42 years ago.

Before retiring he was a chemist for Troy Chemicals in Newark, for over 20 years. He enjoyed trading on the stock market, watching Bollywood and Hollywood movies and playing cards.  Most of all he loved doing activities and traveling with his late wife Anila who passed away in 2019.

In addition to his wife, he’s predeceased his brothers Ratan and Lalji Chandra.

Dhanji is survived by his son Anil Chandra of West New York and his daughter Avni Chandra of Piscataway.

Pooja services will be held on Monday, October 30^th, from 1:00 – 3:00 pm at Franklin Memorial Park, Cozzens Lane & Rt. 27, North Brunswick.
