Deborah A. Cole, formerly of Milltown, passed away Saturday, September 14, 2024 at home surrounded by loved ones. She was 60. Born in Kearny, and raised in Milltown, she lived in Levittown PA before moving back to Milltown. She’s lived in Gloucester MA for the past 2 years.

She most recently worked for NorthBridge Partners in Wakefield MA. She previously had worked for Waste Management, Barns and Noble, and Rutgers University.

Debbie enjoyed dance from the time she was a young child to adulthood. She taught dance at the Middlesex Academy of Dance and Kaye-Lynne Dance Studio in Milltown for several years. She was passionate about acting and joined Playhouse 22 in 2019. She enjoyed spending her summers in Long Beach Island, NJ. She loved her fur-grandbabies Oliver and Daisy.

She’s predeceased by her father Peter Gebauer (d. 2019).

Surviving is her mother Marie “MaryLou” Gebauer of Milltown; her daughters Rebecca Chernek of Gloucester MA and Melissa Chernek of Miami FL; her brother and sister-in-law Brian and Marybeth Gebauer of Milltown; her sister and brother-in-law Karen and George Chayko of Spotswood; and her beloved granddaughter Sophia Crespo.

Friends and relatives may call on Sunday September 22nd, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at The Crabiel Home for Funerals, 170 N Main St.-at Riva Avenue, Milltown. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Gorton’s Specialty & Cancer Care Center at Addison Gilbert Hospital, Gloucester MA.
