David Rosenthal

David Rosenthal “Dave”, of Spotswood, passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. He was 64 years old. Born in the Bronx, he was raised in North Brunswick and graduated from North Brunswick High School in 1978. He has lived in Spotswood for the last several years. 

Dave was an avid sports fan and passionate about Rutgers athletics. He was currently a Supervisor at Middlesex County Parks and Recreation. In his free time, Dave loved spending time with his many friends and family, especially his grandchildren. Where he proudly held the title as Papa.

He is survived by his father Kurt Rosenthal (Peggy) of Kendall Park, his mother Nancy Hayden (Bob) of Monroe Twp., his loving companion, Patty Reisert of Spotswood; his sister Lisa Orban (Zoli) of Berkeley Heights; Patty’s children Melissa Reisert, Ashley McMaster (Dean), Amber Reisert (Nick); his grandchildren Emersyn, Nova, Leilani and Phoebe McMaster and Jamie Zygnerski. He is also survived by members of the Ciarrocchi, Strouse, Murphy, Wilson, Orban and Hayden families. 

A Memorial Service for Dave will be held on Wednesday, January 29th, 7:00 pm, at New Brunswick Performing Arts Center, located 11 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick. Suggested attire Rutgers or your favorite sports team. Arrangements are under the direction of The Crabiel Home for Funerals, 170 North Main St.-at Riva Avenue, Milltown.
