David Milicia, a devoted family man and skilled carpenter, passed away on March 25, 2026, leaving behind a legacy marked by love, hard work, and kindness. Born on May 28, 1954, David’s life was a testament to dedication—not only in his craft but in the deep connections he nurtured with those around him.
Having honed his skill in carpentry, David built more than just structures; he built memories with his loved ones and a reputation as a man always willing to lend a helping hand. His strong work ethic was matched only by his warm heart. Whether through labor or presence, David gave generously of himself, often finding joy in the simplest moments spent with family.
David’s passions extended beyond his trade. He was an enthusiast of Nascar, the life of a dance floor, a lover of classic rock music, and found peace in the calm of fishing. These interests reflected the vibrant and dynamic individual who could fill a room with laughter or quietly enjoy the serenity of nature’s embrace.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Laurie Milicia of Edison, and their children: son David Milicia Jr. of South Carolina, daughter Eileen Milicia and son Kyle Milicia, both of Edison. David’s joy was multiplied by his grandson, Myles Milicia, who went on many adventures with his Poppy. His siblings—sisters Cindy Holowach and Pat Sielewicki, brothers Thomas Milicia, Joseph Milicia Jr. and his wife Debra, Peter Milicia and his sister-in-law Kathi Milicia—along with numerous nieces and nephews. The family cherishes the memory of his late brother, Frank Milicia, who passed in 2019.
Friends and family will gather to celebrate David’s life during a visitation on April 2, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at The Crabiel Home For Funerals, located at 170 North Main Street - at Riva Avenue, Milltown, NJ 08850. This time will offer a chance to honor his memory, share stories, and find comfort together.
David Milicia’s life was a beautiful composition of love, dedication, and joy—woven closely with family ties and enriched by the many who knew him. His legacy continues in the hearts of all who loved him, reminding us to cherish the moments, embrace our passions, and stand ready to help others as he so often did.
