Dahyabhai Patel, of Edison, passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2019, at JFK Medical Center in Edison. He was 83.
Born in Davol, Gujarat, India, he came to the United States in 1984, where he resided in Queens, NY. He's lived in Edison since 2001.
While living in India, Mr. Patel owned a family tobacco business, where they manufactured cigarettes. He enjoyed eating and gardening. Dahyabhai and his family were members of BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Edison.
Surviving is his wife of 65 years, Jashodaben Patel; his sons Ghanshyam Patel of NY, and Kamlesh Patel of Edison; his daughters Sarojben Patel and Shilaben Patel, both of NY and Geetaben Patel of Texas; also surviving are 11 grandchildren – Parth, Year, Yesha, Nishil, Gaytri, Akin, Vivek, Akshay, Milan, Megha and Ravi.
Pooja services will be held Friday, January 11th, from 9:00 – 11:00 am at Franklin Memorial Park, Rt. 27 & Cozzens Lane, North Brunswick. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to The Crabiel Home for Funerals, 170 N Main St-at Riva Avenue, Milltown. You may express condolences to the family on the obituary "guestbook" at www.crabiel.com
