Conrad Xavier Stevens, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away on May 15, 2025, at the age of 71. Born on June 5, 1953, in Newark, NJ. Conrad devoted his life to his family and his passions.
Graduating from South Side High School, Newark, NJ. Conrad carried a spark for life that was evident to those around him. He had a profound love for cars, especially 1953 Thunder Bird and various Italian automobiles, reflecting his appreciation for both engineering and style. Furthermore, Conrad had an upmost keen interest in fashion and clothing, exemplifying an eye for elegance and personal expression. If The Academy Awards had given out Oscars for fashion, Conrad would have not been a front runner, he would have taken home the Oscar for he was truly a Gold Winner with his fashions and clothing.
Throughout his life, Conrad created & cherished memories with his family, notably enjoying trips to the Poconos Mountains, a place where laughter and love were shared among family members. His devotion to family was evident in every aspect of his life, as he strived to foster meaningful relationships and build lasting memories.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Valerie Mitchell-Stevens, who was his partner and confidante through life's journey. His legacy continues with their sons, Jamine Conrad Stevens, Calvin Taylor Stevens and his grandson, Jamine Cullen Stevens, both of whom brought immeasurable joy to his life. Conrad is also survived by his siblings: sisters twin Wren Stevens, Marlene Stevens West, brother Antone Stevens, a host of Nephews, Nieces, and cousins.
Conrad will be lovingly remembered for his warmth, dedication, and the impact he made on the lives of those who knew him. He is preceded in death by his father, Roosevelt Stevens, his mother, Ruth Brown, and his sister, Linda Steven Price. Their memory will surely be honored by those left behind, as they reflect on the life of a remarkable man, Conrad Xavier Stevens who treasured family above all.
A Memorial Service and gathering for family and friends, will be held on Tuesday, July 8th, 2025, from 1:00 - 3:00 pm with a service starting at 1:30 pm, at The Crabiel Home for Funerals, 170 North Main Street - at Riva Avenue, Milltown NJ 08850.
