Clara A. (Zatta) Capoccia, 84, of Edison, NJ passed away on March 8, 2023. Clara was born May 14, 1938, to Albert and Blanch Pearl (Kerr) Zatta in Avella, PA. She married John J. Capoccia on January 30, 1964, and together they raised four children. She was a long-time employee of RCA which after several mergers became Lockheed Martin.

 

After retirement, she was active in her grandson’s cub scout pack, gardening, flea markets and collecting dolls, Lenox, and snow globes. She traveled to Ohio every year to visit family. She loved to watch “O Brother, Where Art Thou?” and “Long Kiss Goodnight”. She only made lasagna during Thanksgiving and Christmas. It was highly anticipated. 

 

Clara was predeceased by her father and mother, Albert and Blanch Pearl (Kerr) Zatta, Brothers Albert and Anthony Zatta, and her son, Dale Brett Capoccia.

She is survived by her daughters Deborah J. and her husband, Dennis DiBenedetto, Desiree P. and her husband, Kevin Egan, and son, John D. Capoccia, daughter-in-law, Cindy (Sgro) Capoccia, granddaughter Danielle A. and husband, Michael Alexandrowicz, grandson Brian J. Blaszczyk, great-grandson, John W. and great-granddaughter Emily M. Alexandrowicz, sister Alma Jean (Zatta) Gilman. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and her beloved dog T-Bag.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, May 6th, 2023 from 12:00 - 3:00pm at The Crabiel Home for Funerals, 170 N. Main Street-at Riva Avenue, Milltown NJ 08850. You may sign the online guestbook www.crabiel.com.
