Cheryl C. Scott, of Piscataway, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side, on Sunday, November 13, 2022. She was 53. Born in Perth Amboy, to Richard and Mildred Scott Jr., she was raised in Piscataway and lived there most of her life.
She was a Senior Conference Business Administrator for Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers (IEEE) for the past 20 years.
Cheryl attended St. Frances Cabrini School and graduated from Piscataway High School. She loved sports and enjoyed Zumba, exercising and kickboxing. She liked to travel and shop and considered herself a personal shopper.
Cheryl was strong, considerate, brave, generous and a true friend. Most of all she loved being with her family and friends.
She's predeceased by her grandparents Harold and Gertrude Lincoln and Richard and Barbara Scott. Her uncles Harold Lincoln Jr (Jean), Lawrence Lincoln (Diane), Poppa Lincoln, James Scott (Linda) and aunt Jean Scott.
Surviving are her beloved parents Richard D. and Mildred (Hutchins) Scott Jr. of Piscataway, her loving children Aleysse (Marcus) and Richard Wright of Piscataway, her sister Chanelle C. McCullum (Larry) of Piscataway, her brother Ivan Scott (Pamela) of Piscataway, her granddaughter Solay, her nieces and nephews Alexis McCullum-Crozier (Louis), Larry McCullum Jr., Cymora Stillwell, Dorian Shields (Kharron), Armani Scott, Jeff Wright, Aaron Wright and Jade Wright, and her aunts and uncles: Frederick Lincoln, Nathaniel Hutchins (Brenda), William Lincoln (Betty), Delores Anderson, Shirley Billings, Irvin Scott (Val) and Ruth Scott.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 19th, 1:30 pm at St. Frances Cabrini RC Church, Netherwood Avenue (208 Bound Brook Ave), Piscataway. A visitation will be held prior to the Mass from 12 noon to 1:30 pm at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer
