Chandra G. Garehgrat

Chandra G. Garehgrat, of Somerset, passed away Monday, August 19, 2024 at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in Somerville. She was 83. Born in Karachi, Pakistan, she came to the United States in 1970. She resided in New Milford, NJ before moving to Somerset in 2009.

Chandra retired from Merck Medco in Franklin Lakes. She enjoyed playing cards and Mahjong. She loved being with her family, and lived for her grandson Rishi.

She’s predeceased by her husband Gansham Garehgrat (d. 2011), and her parents Hardasmal and Rukmani (Bhambani) Hingorani.

Surviving are her loving daughters Geeta Garehgrat and Reshma Mehta and son-in-law Mahesh Mehta (Raaj), her beloved grandson Rishi R. Mehta, all of Somerset; her brother Ramesh Hingorani of California, and her sisters Indra Sujan of California, Lilly Hirani of India, Shobha Chopra of California and Sheila Kripalani of India.
