Carol Antal

Carol (DeVino) Antal was the third daughter of Gerald and Caroline DeVino, born October 15, 1939 in Hillside, NJ. She moved with her family to Elizabeth where she attended Battin High School, graduating in 1958. After graduation she moved with her family to Colonia, NJ where she lived until her marriage to Normal Antal of New Brunswick, NJ in October of 1971. Thereafter, she lived in New Brunswick until the death of her husband in September of 2014. Carol was living in assisted living in Arbor Terrace of Middletown, NJ when she passed away peacefully from complications related to Parkinson's disease on April 18, 2020.

Carol began working at Westons Company in Newark, NJ as a secretary. She spent most of her career as an administrative assistant to the director of University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in New Brunswick where she eventually retired in December 1999.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents Gerald and Caroline DeVino and her sisters, Annette Duffy and Angela DeVino.

Carol is survived by her nephew, John Duffy of Los Angeles, California and his wife Suzanne and their 4 children and 5 grandchildren, by her niece, Donna Giventer of Highlands, NJ and her daughter, by her niece, Gerlyn Clark and her husband Ron of Altmar, NY and their daughter and 2 sons and 5 grandchildren, and by her niece, Charlene Sheehan and her husband Ed of Colonia, NJ and 2 sons and daughter and their 5 grandchildren.

Carol will be interned with her beloved husband, Norman at Woodbridge Memorial Gardens in Woodbridge, NJ. In light of the present shutdown due to the coronavirus, services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family would ask that donations be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation. Condolences may be sent to Donna Giventer at 13 Halfmoon Court, Highlands, NJ 07732
