Barbara “Bonnie” Freese, of Edison, passed away Sunday, June 8, 2025 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. She was 83 years old. Born in Boston, she was raised in Long Branch. She lived in Highland Park most of her life, before moving to Edison over 20 years ago.
Bonnie worked for Maidenform in Edison for 20 years, before retiring. She loved Bingo, reading, word searches and watching the Hallmark Channel.
Surviving is her daughter Jacqueline Wahler (Barry) of Enterprise MS, her grandchildren Barbara Baker (Wayne) of Lexington, SC, Ashley Wahler of Hamilton, NJ and Cameron Wahler of Denver, Co and her great grandchildren Harley and Wyatt Baker.
She is also survived by her adoptive daughter and long-time caregiver, Joyce Tomcsik and her family MaryAnn and her kids, Tyler, Jordan, Zachary, all of Edison, NJ and John (Jessica) of Barnegat, NJ and their children, Aiden, Logan, and Casey, and Kelly, also of Edison.
A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 19th, from 1:00 – 3:00 pm, at The Crabiel Home for Funerals, 170 N Main St.-at Riva Avenue, Milltown. Those who knew her well, know that Bonnie loved her MuuMuu dresses. So in memory of Bonnie, we encourage all to wear a MuuMuu for the memorial service.
