Antoinette Azar

Antoinette Azar, of North Brunswick, passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at Autumn Lake Rehab in Old Bridge. She was 90 years old.

Born in Beirut Lebanon, she came to the United States in 1998. She lived in North Brunswick and Texas, before moving back to North Brunswick this year.

Antoinette loved cooking and sewing for her family.

She’s predeceased by her husband Mtanios Hakme, her son Eli Hakme (d. 2025) and her parents, Maroun Azar and Sayde (Chamoun) Azar.

Surviving is her daughter Liliane Hakme of North Brunswick and her brother Khalil Azar of South Brunswick, along with several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, 11:00 am, at St. Sharbel Maronite Catholic Church in Somerset.
